1. Follow the aircraft or inspect the map
The tracker has a Following aircraft control near Flight settings and Flight information. Use it to follow the aircraft, or turn following off while you inspect another area of the map. Return to following when you want the aircraft kept in view.
Open Flight information for the additional flight and connector information. The visible Web Flight # is useful when reporting an issue: include it with the UTC time and what you observed.
2. Show the planned route
Open Flight settings and enable Planned Route Overlay to show the SimBrief route and waypoint labels on the map when route data is available. Compare the plan with the recorded track to understand your progress.
The overlay is a map display setting. Turning it on does not file a new plan, command the aircraft or guarantee that the aircraft follows those waypoints. If it is empty, check whether the flight has the relevant SimBrief route data.
3. Choose a readable tracker theme
In Tracking settings, choose Original — glass & cyan or Chart — charcoal & yellow. The appearance choice is saved in the current browser for future flights. A different browser or cleared browser storage can have a different setting.
4. Read the timeline
Open the Timeline tab to see recent tracking and flight-state changes. It is useful when reconstructing a connection interruption or checking the order of flight events. Compare these events with the current status; a past event is not necessarily the flight's current state.
For a support report, capture the relevant event and flight ID. Use the flight-status guide to distinguish Landed, Processing and Completed.
5. Use announcement playback
The Announcements drawer provides playback controls, including play, stop, previous, next, mute and progress. Use the available airline audio and check volume before playing it. Flight settings also includes Auto Announcements for playback as the flight progresses.
These are browser playback controls. Do not assume an announcement has played through every simulator or another person's device. If playback does not start, inspect the player and browser audio state before repeatedly triggering it.
6. Recognise controls that depend on compatibility
Remote Control and radio controls depend on the simulator, connector and aircraft profile. Read the displayed compatibility information and disabled-control explanation before using them. These controls can affect the simulator; they are different from map display preferences.
The separate Sim Control panel is currently marked Coming Soon, and the Cabin Crew workspace is unreleased. Do not interpret their presence in development material as generally available functionality. The Schedule Traffic Injector setting also depends on the supported MSFS workflow and its current status.
Two more shortcuts worth trying
Click the passenger count for names, cabin classes and onward connections. Use Share live flight to send a public viewer link. Neither requires you to leave the active flight to search through company management pages.
