You can let someone follow your flight without giving them portal access. Create a dedicated viewer link instead of copying your private tracking-page address.
1. Open your flight tracker
Open your own flight through FLY NOW. In the flight information panel, near the Web Flight number, choose Share live flight. Sharing controls belong to the operating pilot; a read-only administrative view does not provide the same action.
2. Create and copy the link
- Choose Create viewer link.
- Wait for the Viewer link field to fill and the confirmation that anyone with the link can view the flight.
- Choose Copy link and paste it into your message or chosen channel.
- If automatic copying fails, select and copy the link from the field manually.
If sharing is already enabled, the dialog shows its existing link. Closing the dialog does not stop sharing. You can check the copied URL in a signed-out browser window before sending it.
3. Know what viewers see
The public viewer shows the pilot username, flight number or callsign, route, aircraft and registration, flight status, position and route track. Its flight details include altitude, ground speed, heading and elapsed time. Viewers can choose Your flight or Moving map.
Anyone who receives or is forwarded the link can open it without signing in. It is a viewing page, not permission to control your aircraft or account. Passenger names and the private manifest are not part of this public flight view.
4. Understand live updates
The viewer refreshes positions every 10 seconds. If tracking data is not fresh, it shows the last known position and an awaiting-updates message. This is not proof the aircraft has stopped moving. A finished flight displays an ended or completed state. If map tiles fail, flight details can still be available.
5. Stop or replace sharing
Return to Share live flight and choose Stop sharing. Wait for the message that sharing is off. The old viewer link is then invalid. Creating a link again after stopping sharing produces a new link, so send the new one to anyone you still want to invite.
Do not assume landing or closing the browser revokes the link. Use Stop sharing when you want access removed. If a sharing action fails, read the error and check the dialog state before claiming the link was created or disabled.
