Your airline's livery download library

Fleet Liveries brings your airline's paint schemes together in one place. Pilots can see a preview, identify the aircraft model or registration, and open the download link. The airline CEO manages the entries.

What is a livery?

A livery is the visual paint scheme used by an aircraft in your simulator: for example, your airline's colours, logo, a special event design or a paint carrying a particular registration. The Liveries page helps your members find the correct download for aircraft in your airline's fleet.

Each entry contains a livery name, a download URL, and optionally one preview image. You can add several entries for the same model or aircraft, such as separate versions for different simulators or aircraft add-ons.

The page stores the download link and uploaded preview image. It does not host the livery package itself, install it in your simulator, or change an aircraft's registration in flyLAT.

Who can use the page?

  • Airline members with access to Fleet: browse the airline's models and aircraft, view previews, and use the download links.
  • Airline CEO: add, edit and delete livery entries, upload a preview, and replace or remove that preview.
  • Employees with fleet management permissions: can browse when they have Fleet access, but those permissions alone do not allow them to manage liveries. Editing is reserved for the CEO.

Developer impersonation is view-only: viewing an airline as its CEO does not enable livery changes.

Open Fleet Liveries

  1. Sign in to the portal and open Fleet.
  2. Select Liveries in the fleet page's action buttons.
  3. Find the relevant model section. Every aircraft currently in the airline's fleet is listed under its model.

You can also open Fleet Liveries directly. Use Fleet Overview to return to the fleet page.

The summary shows the model, aircraft and livery counts. Use Search model or registration to narrow the list. Search by the model name, such as A320, or a registration, such as G-ABCD. Clear the search to show the full fleet again. Search filters models and registrations; it does not search livery names.

Choose model-wide or aircraft-specific

Each model section has two levels. Choose the level that matches the intended download before adding it.

Where to add itWhat it applies toExample
Model liveriesEvery registration listed under that exact aircraft model.A standard airline paint for your Airbus A320-211 fleet.
A registration rowOnly the individual aircraft shown in that row.A special paint made for G-ABCD, including that registration on the fuselage.

Model-wide means the model shown on the page, not every aircraft from the same manufacturer or family. An entry under one A320 variant is not automatically added to a different variant's section.

Model and aircraft entries can exist together. A registration-specific entry does not replace or hide model-wide entries. Pilots should check the model downloads as well as their aircraft's row.

Adding a registration-specific livery associates the download with an existing fleet aircraft. It does not create a new aircraft or registration. If the aircraft is not listed, check that it is in the airline's current fleet.

CEO: prepare the download and image

  1. Upload the livery package to your chosen download service or obtain the creator's download-page link. Confirm that you have permission to share it.
  2. Open the link as a typical airline member would. Check that it points to the intended package or download page and that the host's access settings allow your members to use it.
  3. Prepare a screenshot or other preview showing the actual paint scheme. If the livery is for one registration, choose a view that makes that aircraft easy to recognise.
  4. Choose a descriptive name that includes the simulator and add-on when relevant, for example MSFS 2024 - Fenix A320 - Standard colours. The model in flyLAT alone does not guarantee compatibility with every simulator add-on of that type.

Download links must be valid HTTP or HTTPS URLs. Prefer HTTPS. Links containing embedded usernames or passwords are not accepted. The preview is optional, but it helps members recognise the file before downloading.

CEO: add a model-wide livery

  1. Find the correct model section.
  2. In the Model liveries row, select Add livery.
  3. Enter the Livery name. Use a clear name of up to 140 bytes; accented characters and symbols may use more than one byte each.
  4. Paste the Download URL, up to 2,048 bytes.
  5. Optionally choose a Preview image.
  6. Select Save livery.
  7. Look for Livery changes saved, then check the new entry's name, model label, preview and download link.

All registrations under that model can use this entry. You do not need to add the same model-wide download separately to every aircraft. To offer another simulator or add-on version, add another clearly named entry in the same model row.

CEO: add a livery for one registration

  1. Find the correct model, then the intended registration.
  2. Select Add livery in that registration's row, rather than in the model row.
  3. Enter the name and download URL, and optionally upload a preview.
  4. Select Save livery.
  5. Check that the saved entry identifies both the model and the intended registration.

Example: your airline has G-ABCD and G-EFGH of the same model. Add the shared standard paint in Model liveries. If G-ABCD has an anniversary paint, add that download in G-ABCD's row. G-EFGH's row does not receive the aircraft-specific entry.

Preview image requirements

  • One image per livery entry.
  • Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF.
  • Maximum upload size: 8 MB. The server may impose a smaller upload limit.
  • Maximum source image area: 40 million pixels.
  • Accepted uploads are optimised and stored as WebP previews, with a maximum size of 1,600 by 900 pixels while preserving proportions.

A screenshot from the simulator usually works well. Use an image that shows the livery clearly and belongs to the download you are sharing. The image is a preview, not the downloadable livery package. Uploading a new preview replaces the existing image for that entry.

Pilots: download and use a livery

  1. Open Fleet > Liveries and find your aircraft's model or search for its registration.
  2. Review Model liveries and any aircraft-specific entries in the registration row.
  3. Check the entry name, model or registration label, and preview. Confirm the simulator version and aircraft add-on match what you fly.
  4. Select Download livery. The external download destination opens in a new tab.
  5. Follow the download host's instructions and the livery creator's installation guide for your simulator and add-on.
  6. Select the installed livery in your simulator and confirm the appearance before flying.

flyLAT does not automatically install the file or check its compatibility with your local simulator. If several packages are offered, choose the one intended for your simulator and add-on. If the name is unclear, ask the CEO before installing it.

CEO: update or remove an entry

Open Edit livery on the entry you want to change. Update the name or download URL, then select Save livery. To replace its preview, choose a file in Replace preview image before saving. To keep the current preview, leave the file field empty and leave Remove current preview unticked.

To remove just the image, tick Remove current preview and save. The download entry remains available without a preview. To remove the entire entry, select Delete livery. Removing an entry does not delete the package from the external download host or uninstall files members have already downloaded.

The edit form keeps the entry attached to its existing model or aircraft. To move an entry to a different model or registration, add it at the correct destination, verify it, and then delete the old entry.

Common questions and troubleshooting

I cannot see Add livery or Edit livery

Check that you are signed in as the airline CEO. Employee fleet permissions do not enable these controls, and impersonation disables changes. Members can still use available download links.

The page says No liveries yet

That row has no entries. On an aircraft row, check the model-wide downloads above it too: an empty registration row does not mean there is no suitable model livery.

I cannot find an aircraft or model

Clear the search and check Fleet Overview. Only aircraft in the airline's current fleet provide model and registration rows. A similar model name can represent a different variant, so check the exact section before adding a link.

The preview upload fails

Use an accepted image format, reduce the file below the upload limit, and reduce very large image dimensions. Renaming a file extension does not convert the image. If a valid image still cannot be processed, try a smaller JPEG or PNG and report the displayed error to support.

The download link does not work

The CEO should check the external host for deleted files, expired sharing links or access restrictions, then edit the entry with a working URL. The portal's download button opens the saved destination; it does not repair an unavailable external file.

The downloaded paint does not fit my aircraft

Check the simulator version, add-on developer, aircraft variant and any creator requirements. Similar aircraft names do not make packages interchangeable. Ask the CEO to clarify the entry name or provide the correct download.

A security check fails when saving

Refresh the page and try again from the current session. Re-enter your changes and reselect the preview image if needed. If the problem continues, sign in again and report it to support.

Before sharing the library with your airline

  • The link is under the correct model or registration.
  • The name identifies the intended simulator and add-on.
  • The preview matches the actual package.
  • A member can open the download destination.
  • Any registration-specific paint is attached to the intended aircraft.
  • Obsolete or broken links have been updated or removed.
