A Tour is an ordered itinerary created by your airline's CEO. Pilots join it and fly each leg in sequence. Tours can use free flights, so the airline does not need to buy or create a company route for every leg.
Who can use Tours?
You must own an airline or be an employee of one. Open Tours from the sidebar or the flight-preparation page. Pilots can browse published tours, join them, and view progress. Only the company owner can create and manage tours. If you are not part of an airline, join or create an airline first.
Join and fly a tour
- Open Tours and choose an open tour. Read its description, allowed aircraft, expiration date, and itinerary.
- Select Join tour before starting your first flight. Flights started before joining do not count.
- Expand View itinerary and select Fly this leg for the next unfinished leg. Flight preparation opens in Free Flight with the departure and destination filled in.
- Choose an aircraft permitted by the tour and complete normal flight preparation and tracking. You can also fly an eligible company-route flight between the same airports.
- Allow flight completion to finish, then return to Tours and refresh. The completed leg is ticked off and your progress increases.
- Continue from the next leg. Each leg needs its own completed flight, even when the itinerary repeats an airport pair.
Legs must be flown in the listed direction and order. For example, Warsaw to Amsterdam does not count toward London to Warsaw. A later leg flown early will need to be flown again after you finish the earlier legs.
If your CEO has disabled free flights, the Free Flight launch is unavailable. Eligible company-route flights can still count. Joining a tour does not override company flight policy or aircraft restrictions.
Create a tour as CEO
- Open Tours → Create tour.
- Enter a Tour name and Group. Groups such as EUROPE organise related tour cards.
- Add an optional description explaining the adventure or any operating expectations.
- Optionally upload a Header image. Use JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to 5 MB and 8000 pixels in either dimension. Without a custom header, the card can use the destination city image. Itinerary cards also use the city photos available in Route Ops.
- Optionally set an Expiration date. The tour remains open through 23:59:59 UTC on that date. Leave it blank for no expiration.
Add verified legs
- Enter the first Departure ICAO, for example EGLL.
- Enter the Destination ICAO, for example EPWA.
- Select Add Leg. The portal checks both airports before adding the leg and shows the airport names and supported maximum aircraft class.
- The next departure becomes the previous destination automatically. Enter the next destination and select Add Leg again.
- Repeat until the itinerary is complete. Use Remove last leg to correct the end of the itinerary, then add the replacement leg.
EGLL → EPWA
EPWA → EHAM
EHAM → ENBR
ENBR → EGLL
After adding EGLL → EPWA, EPWA is filled in as the next departure. You only need to enter EHAM for the next destination.
A tour needs between 1 and 100 connected legs. Every leg must end at a different airport from its departure, and the following leg must start at that destination. Add the pending leg, or clear its destination, before saving the draft.
Choose allowed aircraft
Select one or more Allowed aircraft classes, specific Allowed aircraft types, or both. A flight qualifies when its aircraft matches any selected type or selected class. Classes are exact selections: choosing Class C does not automatically select Classes A and B.
Use Filter aircraft types to search by manufacturer, model, or class. Your existing selections stay selected when filtered out. The counter shows how many aircraft types are visible and how many you have selected. Use your device's normal multiple-selection controls to choose more than one type.
Every selected type and class must fit every airport on the tour. Saving checks the same gate-capacity and airport-classification limits used by Route Management. If a leg supports only up to Class C, remove larger types or classes, or change the itinerary. Review the verification message for the affected leg.
Save, publish, and announce
- Select Save draft. Review the saved card and itinerary. Drafts are visible to the owner, not employees.
- Use Edit to adjust the draft if needed.
- Select Publish when the tour is ready. It becomes available for employees to join.
- Publishing automatically adds an announcement to the company feed under the CEO's name, including the itinerary, expiration date if set, and an Open tour link.
Saving a draft does not announce it. Editing an existing tour does not post another announcement. After publishing, the itinerary and aircraft rules are fixed to preserve pilot progress. You can still edit the title, group, description, header, and expiration date. Create a new tour if you need a different itinerary or aircraft rules.
See who completed each leg
Expand the itinerary to see the profile pictures of pilots who completed each leg. Hover over a picture to see the username. Click or tap it to open that flight's details, including the aircraft used, flight number, flight time, landing rate, and completion date. CEOs and airline members viewing the tour can use these details. Missing recorded statistics are shown as not recorded.
Expire or archive a tour
An expiration date closes the tour after the specified UTC day. A qualifying flight must complete before that deadline. Use Archive to close a published tour manually: pilots retain their recorded progress, but cannot join it or earn new leg completions after archival. Drafts can be deleted with Delete draft.
Why is my leg not ticked off?
- The flight is still finalising
- Wait for a successful completed status, then refresh Tours. Pending, rejected, or cancelled flights do not count.
- I flew before joining
- Join the tour first. Only flights started after joining can qualify.
- The airports or order differ
- Check the departure, destination, and next unfinished leg. Reversed legs and flights flown out of sequence do not count.
- I used a different aircraft
- Check the permitted types and classes on the tour card. An aircraft outside those choices does not earn progress.
- The tour has expired or been archived
- Check its status and UTC deadline. Flights completed after expiration or archival do not earn new progress.
- An airport cannot be verified
- Check the four-character ICAO code. If verification is temporarily unavailable, try again before adding the leg.
- I cannot see Tours
- Confirm that you own an airline or have active employment with one. The sidebar hides Tours for accounts without an airline.
