APP UPDATES – Making the mobile app more user-friendly
DASHBOARD
The dashboard has received a small facelift to make navigation easier. You’ll now find Airline News and My Profile tabs at the bottom.
Airline News remains the same for now, but in the near future your CEO and managers will be able to post updates directly into that feed. Instead of just seeing pilot earnings, you’ll get more focused news relevant to you. Expect more improvements here before the full 1.7 release.
In version 1.7, your flyLAT user style will also be displayed. This feature will play a bigger role in future updates.
We can now grant beta testers extra access to upcoming features directly through their flyLAT account—no separate beta opt-in required. While we’re testing, features can also be switched off to prevent errors from appearing during development.
MY PROFILE TAB
This tab now highlights more relevant stats tailored to you.
LIVE FLIGHT TRACKER
The tracker has been moved from the side menu onto the dashboard, giving you a cleaner and more streamlined navigation.
FINANCE PAGE
The Finance page has been given a UI upgrade for better readability. In the current version, some data may look odd—that’s because it’s already prepared for the 1.7 update.
Added a refresh button and filtering options.
Please note: the Finance page is still limited to 30 days of data, regardless of the end date you choose.
AI CREW
This is a soft update (server-side), now in testing. You can select departures based on where your aircraft are currently located, and only aircraft capable of flying that distance will be shown.
CARGO PAGE
We’ve added a new Cargo Logs feature, allowing you to view both completed and in-progress deliveries directly from your mobile device. Additionally, the maximum distance for custom and multidrop cargo has been increased from 1,500nm to 4,000nm.
APP SETTINGS - Account
You can now add your SimBrief username, VATSIM CID, and referral code directly from the app. No need to switch over to the desktop portal anymore.
APP SETTINGS - Airline
For CEOs, version 1.7 introduces the option to update your company description right inside the app. Manage your airline’s profile quickly and easily without leaving the mobile experience.
This is the first part of the 1.7 rollout. I’ll likely share another update later this weekend. The plan is to release 1.7 to both Android and iOS with these new features included.
