🚀 flyLAT Deeper Dives

Hello hello, 

How are our lovely flyLAT'ers today?

So to cut things short, Mr Luke called me to a lengthy meeting this morning where we reviewed flylat in all of it's glory. Now I'm not actually sure how long that was, I just know it was long enough for me too loose perception of all time. The result, I have a s**t load of work to do and as do he. With 60+ bugs to fix in the app on my end while he's got something similar on his end between the portal, api suite and the webapp. 

This meeting was of course all in the efforts to give back to all of you! It's been noted that some constructive and some... less constructive feedback has been given of late about how the project state currently is. So therefore Luke has fundamentally decided that our priority now lies in completing existing features, feature sets and functionality as you see it.

If you want the short version of this, we're essentially saying flyLAT is getting some TLC to ensure we still meet or exceed your expectations of this platform. 

So why have I just told you all of that? We have a lot of features coming up, examples of which (but not limited to):

• Aircraft Maintenance Overhaul
• Aircraft Lifespan Introduction
• Cargo Life (Phase 2 of Cargo)
• Charters (Phase 1 of Execs)
• Maintenance Facility Introduction
• Aircraft Cabins
• In App Audio
• Hub Lounges
• Safety Ratings
• Comfort Ratings
• Reliability Ratings
• Schedules

and they're going to take a nice bit of time. Not all of those are before v1.0, but I think it just really outlines how much work we have ahead of us that's already planned, designed and for the best part, we've already done a lot of development. 

So instead of you waiting for all this new stuff, let us just whiz through the app, fix the little annoying things, improve a few points and then release small bitesize features out to you from there. Especially if these fixes won't need a lot of time in testing. Fixes that would otherwise be out in the wild by now but for reasons I've already covered previously, I've not been here working on flyLAT since 30th April so a significant amount of time without some love. 

All of this isn't to say you're not getting these new features. Actually 2 of them are pretty much ready to go, which will be nice for you all after we've done this TLC update(s).
