Our first expo. An incredible weekend. All thanks to you.
Now that the expo has come to an end, there’s one thing I want to say above everything else: THANK YOU.
Your donations got us to our first expo. Your support gave us the confidence to put flyLAT in front of a whole new audience. And this weekend showed us just how much this community has built together.

Five years in the making. A first look for so many.
Almost everyone we spoke to was discovering flyLAT for the first time. Apparently, we’ve spent five years building it and rather less time telling anyone about it. Message received! 😅
But once people stopped for a demo, the response was incredible. Visitors tried the Livery Studio, Executives, Freelancer and more, asked questions, and shared ideas. Many couldn’t believe flyLAT had been around for five years—or that it had been free throughout that time. The question we heard most often? “OK, how much does this cost?” I was open about our plans to move to a paid model this year. Seeing people’s reactions to what flyLAT already offers made those conversations especially encouraging.
And the interest didn’t stop at the stand: over the weekend, we saw more than 600 new users appear in our system. To everyone joining us: welcome aboard!
##New connections and something for you
We also met people from across the flight simulation world, including Horizon Simulations, Deadstick – Bush Pilot Simulator, FlyByWire, Caddy, EFBX, X-Plane, IVAO, FlightControlTools and ToLiss. We had some fascinating conversations, and it was a pleasure to meet the people behind projects we know and enjoy. One particular highlight was Deadstick Bush Pilot Simulator. I was blown away by what they showed us.
After hearing about this community and how you helped us reach our first expo, their team kindly provided a few game keys for us to give away to you. Simmy will be sharing a write-up about Deadstick tomorrow, so keep an eye out for that and for giveaway details to follow.

More conversations. More feedback. More to come.
It was fantastic to meet so many flight sim content creators, too. After the number of interviews I did, you may be seeing rather a lot of my face on YouTube over the next few weeks. You’ve been warned!
I’d love to work more closely with creators to introduce flyLAT to new people and hear what they love, what frustrates them, and what they’d like us to improve. My promise is simple: I will listen to your feedback. I can’t promise every suggestion will become a feature, but I will take it seriously and use it to help shape where flyLAT goes next. Having developers and creators come looking for me by name was a surreal moment. It made me realise that flyLAT is beginning to make its mark—and that something we’ve built together as a hobby community project is reaching much further.

# Let’s make everyone feel at home
With so many new people discovering flyLAT, expect some fresh faces on the platform and in Discord. Please give them a warm welcome to our little madhouse, help them find their feet, and share what you’ve learned. Packing away the stand was emotional. Looking back at the last five years—and especially how much has changed in just the last three months it really hit home how far we’ve come. To everyone who donated, visited the stand, spread the word, or simply keeps showing up for this community: you made this possible.
Thank you. We are all flyLAT. 💙
